945 sunroof 900

The tilt and slide sunroof in my car decided to act up today. It appears to be higher on one side than the other and wont retract into the fully open, slid back position. The tilt up and down part works, after a fashion, but still wont line up properly in the fully closed position. I'm not explaining this well, but if this is a typical problem, I hope someone out there will give me a tip or two on how to fix it. Quickly. I'm tempted to raise it up and kinda force it level, and hope.
