I have a '88 740 with the TD-6141 factory radio in it. For the last few weeks when turned on it would drop the station (any station) and all I would hear was static. I tried to put a tape in while the static was occuring but it still stayed with the static. This would last about 5 minutes then the radio or tape would kick on like nothing was wrong. Well, yesterday I was driving and it did it again. The only problem this time was it will not go back. All the buttons are lite up including all the digitals. Also, it seems when I turn it off then on again I hear static and a little radio under the static but it sounds like it is scanning all the stations the after it gets through them all it goes to all static. Anyone have any ideas?
