Window Scraper and Channel Guide group purchase kits still available 1800

Please note that I am not a dealer or retailer. I'm just an 1800 owner who has orchestrated some group purchases of weatherstripping materials for 1800s

Earlier this year I orchestrated a group purchase of a couple 50 m rolls of really nice high quality plush windlace/door aperture seal. That stuff sold out fairly fast and I think the people who bought it were glad they did because the manufacturer discontinued it and replaced it with another type that's no where near as nice. Most of the people who bought the windlace were from the Yahoo 1800 list group.

I brought the windlace in from Europe and I also brought in a whole bunch of other weatherstripping stuff for the door (winding) windows which a lot of people from the 1800 List also bought. I still have some window scraper and channel guide kits left to sell and so this is to let everyone know what I've got and what it costs. If you are also a member of the Yahoo 1800 List you can get more information on the products I brought in for everyone in the Weatherstripping+ (was called Windlace) folder in the 1800 List Files section. If you are not on that list then e-mail me at rojSPAM_OUT@telus.net (remove the SPAM_OUT part) for more information.

Basically I have 3 kits for sale.

Window Scraper Kit -

This kit contains both the outer and inner scraper weatherstripping for your door windows (the winding one not the vent window). In the kit you get 2 pieces of outer scraper (that's the weatherstrip that runs along the top of the door on the outside of the window and keeps water from running down the window and getting inside your door. You also get two pieces of inner scraper which is the felt strip that runs along the top of the door on the inside of the window. It basically gives the inside of the window something nice and plush to rub against
when it goes up and down. You also get retainer clips for the outer scraper and some special retainer clips for the inner scraper which makes the inner scraper way easier to install and replace than the stuff you get from IPD and the other places because their stuff has to be installed with some kind of heavy-duty mean mother stapler which staples through metal.

Both the inner and outer scraper are different from what you can get from any of the "usual suspects" (i.e. IPD, Swedish Treasures, etc.) and, in my opinion, are of better quality and design but the REAL good news is that this stuff comes in about 25% cheaper !

There is enough material & clips, etc, in the kit to do 1 car (2 doors). Everything comes pre-cut and ready to install.

The kit is the same for all versions of the 1800.

Window Channel Kit -

This kit contains two pieces (each) of felted rubber window front and rear channel guide weather stripping. These are the plush lined rubber weatherstrip parts that line the inside of the front and rear window channels that keep your windows from rattling and give the front and rear edges of your winder windows a soft surface to slide against when they go up and down. The front channel guide strip is visible in the chromed extrusion channel that separates your wing window from your main door window. The rear channel guide strip is all inside the door so can't be seen unless you take the door panel off.

There's enough material to do one car (two doors). Kit is the same for all versions of the 1800. The stuff is pretty similar to what the "usual suspects" sell but is a bit better in terms of overall quality and materials. Again, the good news is that it also comes in about 25% cheaper than what the "usual suspects" charge for for the same items. Everything comes pre-cut and ready to install and the kit is the same for all versions of the 1800.

Complete Window Kit -

This is the above two kits combined. Price is lower than buying the two kits individually so a very good value.

If requested, I can provide you with pictures, pricing and explanations of what's in the kits and what I think makes some of the products better than what you can get from the "usual suspects". I can also give you the equivalent Volvo part numbers and some price comparison data.

Contact me at rojSPAM_OUT@telus.net for more info.

Thanks,

Roj
