Undercoat rocker panels?

I have a 1988 Volvo 244 that is going in for a repaint in the next coulple of weeks. Earlier in the cars life I belive that both of the front fenders were replaced, but they did not restore the undercoat like finish. The painter said that he could just respary the whole undercoat in the rocker panel area. I'm not sure about that since it's all in good shape except for the fenders. What would be a good match to what volvo used in that area to match the grayish color? Thanks and happy bricking.
