Undercoat rocker panels?

Many vehicles have a soft coating that is sprayed on before paint. If you take a good look, you will see this on many cars, down low.

This cuts down on chips in the paint on high wear areas and cuts down on surface rust.

I was told that it was called "body shoots" or something like that.
