how much is interchangerble between 740 and 960 700

Hello,

I have a 740 '87 and would like to give it a nicer look by transferring as much from a 960 '96 as possible. you may ask why not buy the 960 and sell the 740. The answer is that I live in the country with the highest car taxes in the world. We pay 180 % in tax and on top of that further 25 % in VAT - yes it is Denmark. So it makes sense to buy a car in e.g. germany and transfer the parts.

If anybody has ever tried it or just know how much they are alike I would be glad to hear from you.

According to vlvworld.com the 740 and the 940 are similar and the 760 and the 960 are similar. But what about 740 and 960. The new front on the 960 is much lower, so is it at all possible to fit it on the 740 and still have room for the moter etc.
