OEM trailer hitch receiver size ... 700

Searches didn't yield an answer ... so here goes the question:

What size is the receiver on a Volvo OEM trailer hitches for 7/9-series? Is it a nice standard 2" like the older 240 OEM's, oddball like later 240 OEM's, or a weak 1-1/4" like aftermarket?

Just need to know, since by year's end, the '90 would be doing the stuff that my '86 has been doing these past months ...
