Parts car, paperwork problem 200 1989

I made a mistake. I bought a car with a salvage title. Connecticut, it turns out, is a royal pain in this one little area of inspection law. They've eliminated all other inspections, but salvage vehicle inspection still requires you to jump through many hoops. Its simply not worth my $88 per inspection, which is VERY extensive and requires pictures before and after any accident repair, VIN # from parts cars used, etc. Also requires you to rent a trailer and tow the car to the station for inspection, plus an appointment for inspection 2-3 weeks in advance. They won't even allow a temporary plate!

The car is a 1989 240 sedan. It isn't pretty but it's very solid. It runs excellently, drives straight and smooth at highway speeds, and doesn't burn any oil. It's got 212K on the clock. The damage to the car, once upon a time, was a front end hit. The plastic and hood got replaced, and it seems the folks bought it back from the insurance company. The paint on the car is acceptable except for the hood- the repaint basically all fell off the hood, as it seems it wasn't primed. Weird. Also the rear bumper trim was all taken off the car, but otherwise it's complete and basically functional. Even has a working factory radio.

I'd like to sell it for $500 or best offer- or if I get enough interest, I'll part it out. One way or the other, it's going by the end of the month.

Alternately, if anyone has a basket-case 1986-90 240 sedan (preferably blue), with a clear title, email me we'll talk.

Yeah I know I oughta put it in classifieds but it's a better story than it is anything else.
