Oil Cooler for 2.1 240? 200

I was considering adding an oil cooler to my normally aspirated 78 242. Is it worth the expense and hassle? Could I just be asking for more problems- I haven't had many problems, but would like to increase performance and hopefully longevity of the engine. Thank you for the help and input. If this is good idea- are there certain types or models I should be on the look for?
