Looking for a really knowledgeable, trustworthy service shop in NY, NJ, CT.

Hi everyone,

I have been taking my '83 240DL to a Volvo dealer in Bayridge, Brooklyn for repairs for some time, and am not 100% satisfied with them, they do a decent job, but are very expensive, and I don't get as much information or attention to detail as I expect for such exorbitant prices.

Does anyone have a reasonable, knowledgeable service person that they trust in the tri-state area that they could reccommend?

I do not mind travelling to get work done by a real pro, who is not going to rip me off. I don't mind paying top dollar, but I do expect to get real value for the money, and not some "don't bother your pretty head about it" routine, or worse, have someone try to sell me a bill of goods.

Even better, is there someone in the area who would be willing to teach me to fix it myself? I'd love that!

Thanks!
