I'm in the middle of changing out my 1989, 240 in-tank fuel pump and have run into a snag.
The return line looks to be a hard plastic type line that is covered with a larger rubber hose.
This hose look like it was heat-shrink onto the inlet fitting and can not be removed.
I cut the line as close to the fitting as possible.
I bought the new sending unit on-line.
Guy at the local Volvo shop says it is a heat-shrink type connection and the new line should have come attached to the sending unit.
Do I replace the whole line or what have any of you done in the past?
Thanks,
Dale
