low-beams not working...HELP 700

Could someone offer some advice how to resolve this problem:

My low-beam headlights stopped working suddenly the other day. Here are the symptoms:

-With the switch in the full-on position, I have no headlights, parking lights, or dash lights.
-With the switch in the middle position, I have parking lights and dash lights.
-In either position, if I pull the high beam lever, the headlights (hi and low) come on but go off when I release the switch.
-The wipers operate in normal mode, but they don't operate in intermittent, and they don't return to the down position when the switch is turned off.
-Also, the shift indicator arrow stays on.

Per the FAQ's, I checked all the fuses; They're fine. I replaced the headlight relay; no change. My engine wiring harness needs replacing, but that's not possible right now. Could someone suggest other possibilities for the problem and how to fix, or how to locate the source of the problem? By the way, I am NOT electrically-inclined...
