OK, so I pulled out the jack that is in my '78 245 the other day for the first time, and I could not fugure out for the life of me how it is meant to work. It is a large heavy tube with a crank on one end which turns a threaded rod and moves a hook assembly along the length of it. There must be a missing part, because I cannot see any way that the hook can be attached to the car. Any insights?
