760 Turbo won't start in the cold 700

My 1986 760 Turbo which I purchased this summer and just got it back on the road, won't start now that it has gotten below freezing. When it was warm it ran fine, idled smooth, but the turbo didn't seem to really kick in during acceleration. Yesterday it would turn over and start to spin faster is the engine tried to start, but it wouldn't ever catch and run. After trying to start the engine, it smelled of gasoline even though I had been careful not to touch the accelerator.
