Hello all. Can anyone out there recommend a reputable independent Volvo mechanic/service center that deals with our favorite car.....The Brick. My daughter and her fiance both go to school down in the Coral Springs/Ft. Lauderdale area of south Florida. I, dad, live 350 miles north in Jacksonville, FL and do the scheduled items on their 850 sedans. My daughter has a '94 and my future son-in-law has a '95. Should a mechanical emergency arise.......I'd hate to direct them to the dealer. I work on my '86 240 sedan and have an excellent independent up here for things I can't do to it, but they don't make house calls....especially that far.....neither do I. I trust everyone's opinion.

Oh, by the way, here's a plug for my independent....Kurt & Rob at Blanding Automotive in Jacksonville, FL. All they do is Volvo's and the do it wonderfully and honestly.
