Stereo Amplifier for 940 900

Managed to pick up an amp from a 960.

Have some questions (newbie when it comes to stereos and amps so pardon my ignorence)

1. HOw do I determine what model and it's rating the amp is?
2. I am currently using a CR-905 head unit in my 940 with a CD Changer. I get sound from all 4 door speakers, 2 parcel shelf speakers and 2 tweeters in the dash.
3. Is it possible to connect the amp without having to rewire the speaker cables?
