945T Engine dies randomly then restarts - electrics OK 900 1996

Hi All,

The symptom:
the engine will loose power and stop, at random. Could be on the highway, at lights, driving slowly etc. Every time, after a wait of 10-20 seconds it will restart just fine. All electrics are operable all the time.

This may or may not be related, but the problem only appeared after we had the steering rack replaced. The mechanic swore that all their work was under the car, and the only thing they did above the car was disconnect the battery. They've had an auto electrician check all the contacts - same problem.

After doing a bit of reading here, could this be the fuel injection relay?
