Starting Problems 1984 DL Wagon 200

Occasionally when the 1984 240 DL Wagon is started it runs poorly with lack of power and severe spark knock. When you turn the ignition off then start it again it runs without any problems. Temperature is not an issue. Anyone had similar intermittent problems. 1984 DL Wagon 239.000
