Last fall I started driving a 1986 740 GLE (4 cylinder, 160,000 miles, automatic). I have been having starting problems when the temperature gets below 10 degrees. The dash warning lights do not go on when I turn the key to the second position. I can crank and crank the engine over but it does not even attempt to start. After multiple tries, the warning lights come on and the car fires quickly. Once it starts it runs great. However, if I turn it off before it is throughly warm inside the car, I can experience the same problem.
Thanks for any information.
