FPR causing engine mis 200 1987

After replacing almost every ignition and related component (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, o2 sensor, temp sensor, cleaned IAC Motor), chanaged fuel filter, checked out vacuum leaks, etc., I was wondering if a bad FPR would cause a engine mis that occurs at all engine speeds? I took the vaccum hole off of it and smelled gas, so I think it is on its way out.

What do you think??

thanks
