After taking my '93 960 to the dealer about a whining noise from the engine, we have established that the car needs either an idler pulley or a tensioner for the serp. belt. I noticed that FCP sells just the rollers for these pulleys at a reasonable price. Would this cure my problem? Anyway to check for play at these bearings? Someone on here suggested that I use a scope to try and pinpoint the noise.
