another 91 turbo no start 700

Okay.... without using a pressure gauge is there a simple way to check for adequate fuel pressure? My pressure regulator is good, both pumps spin, injectors are cycling but, I still have a vehicle that won't start! ( spark is also good ). Has anyone had a instantaneous fuel pump failure where the fuel pump still spins? Also, the check valve at the under body fuel pump does not hold pressure.
