Hi all, well I just put the fuel pump (rear pre-pump) assembly back in. That was fun. I spent three hours in the trunk of my car...good thing I am small. ANyway, when I took the assembly out, I broke off the ground attachment that secures by all the inlet hoses on the top of the brass/steel lid. To remedy the problem, I drilled a hole through the lid and used a nut and bold to make a ground rod. Then I cut the old ground and crimped and "i" to it and secured that to the top of the lid. I put caulking around the nut (which was already pretty air tight) so no pressure would escape from the tank..in case that was important. Is it safe to have the head of a bold on the underside of the steel lid as a ground. I didnt think it would matter since it was grounded to the lid anyway. I am nervous to try it. Please help, Joe.
