Looking for wagon - 200,700 or 900?

We used to have two small vehicles - Dodge Daytona & Chevrolet Cavalier
When the second child was on the way we replaced the Daytona with a Windstar.
With three growing boys we replaced the Cavalier with a Chevrolet G1500 high top conversion van. For six years we had two vehicles, large and larger.
The Windstar burned a valve and I decided that nine years was enough of that vehicle. I wanted something that I could see the sparkplugs in. I found a 1993 Volvo 960 sedan that was relatively clean. After driving the 960, I realized that I didn't like large vehicles anymore. I have done enough work on it that I am reasonably comfortable with it. I wouldn't mind getting another sedan, but my 135lb Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Sheperd wouldn't fit. I would now like to sell my conversion van and get a Volvo RWD wagon. Through information on Brickboard acquired while learning how to replace parts on my 960, I am reasonably informed about the 960s. I would like to know more about the other RWD wagons that Volvo made. Which one would be the best combination of affordability, reliability, maintainability and comfort?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
