I have a misfire on hard exceleration and gentle throttle openings especially when trying to maintain say 30MPH. It's not really bad but it isn't right either.
This weekend I did an oil & filter change also air filter, plugs, leads, cap & rotor arm. Also replaced flame trap cleaned breather box and cleaned throttle body, still the same although the tickover is more consistant now as it did waver a little before and also would cut out at roundabouts about 3 times a week.
When cleaning the breather system no blockages were found but the throttle body did have a coating of wet oil inside that came off without the need for scrubbing just spray cleaner. Oil was olso found on the inside of the inlet manifold although not dripping in it, new gasket was fitted to eliminate any vacuum leakage.
Something I noticed that I have not seen before, the air filter came with a woven foam base to it (attached to the rippled paper element) is this normal?
Any ideas guys?
