B21FT 'Life Expectancy' 200 1985

Have a stock '85 244Ti with 227,000 miles on the ticker. I bought the car at 50K and outside of scheduled maintenance and oil changes, I have never touched the B21FT. Replaced the T3 cartridge at 150K, but that motor is original from top to bottom. It uses some oil (Castrol dino 10w30) between changes, on the order of 1/2 quart every 1K miles. Compression at 200K (if I can read my handwriting) was 142, 136, 132, 140. As a point of reference, at 100K it tested 164, 160, 162, 160.

So, obviously, the engine has some wear. Question is, how much time do I have? I know that a well maintained n/a red block can run for 250K-300K without too much trouble, but you don't tend to see many high mileage (250K+) turbos.

This one seems to run pretty well...no untoward or unusual noises, still winds up without hesitation, still passes smog, and mileage "on the road" is about 23-24mpg (M46, 3.73).

Reasonable to expect another 25-50K?
