severe oil leak 700 1992

Help!! I have oil running out of an area that appears to be just above the water pump where it meets with the head. I installed that pump about 6 months ago and the leak is new. With the engine running, it's really leaking. What gives? It's awfully cold to work outside but I will if needed.
