Looking for 6-blade fan or small Flex Fan... 444-544

I have the stock 4-balde fan on my B20, and it just isn't up to the task of keeping the engine cool.

The radiator is new and the system is all clean and working properly, and I even went to a 180 degree thermostat.

We get really HOT weather out here in the desert, and while the cooling system works fine on the highway, in city traffic or climbing grades it goes right to the top of the gauge. I have checked the stock gauge against a good aftermarket gauge, and I know it reaches HOT before the engine is actually boiling.

I'd like try installing a Volvo 6-blade fan, or a good quality flex fan in a small size (I think they're 13 inches?)

I believe a fan shroud would help a lot, too. I can easily make one from sheet aluminum, but that's a ways down the road, after I heal some more on this proken pelvis. The doctors finally decided it cant' be surgically repaired, so I'm REALLY laid up for who-knows-how-long. 63 days from the fall and no healing as yet.

Another option would be to add an electric fan to the front of the radiator, but the cost is pretty high for anything I can find that will fit.

Suggestions?
