This morning my '93 945 turbo with approx 216k miles on it started slipping a little when shifting into 2nd gear. Does it worse the harder I accelerate. At it's worst it'll slip for up to half a second or so before 2nd bangs in. This isnt the type of slipping where the rpms go sky high, but rather the rpms start to drop slowly until the gear engages. To me, it feels like a loss of line pressure at whatever piston activates 2nd gear, but I'm not an auto tranny expert so who knows.
The fluid is serviced every 20k miles (full flush, not just a drain and fill), and the fluid is clean, pink, and at the correct level. I'm figuring I'm going to have to replace the unit, but I'm wondering if anyone has found some magic fix for this. I'm going to try some "lucas" transmission additive, which 3 people today told me it worked for them, and see how much more life I can get out of it.
Aah... just when I finished putting a new trans in my other car.... Like they say, when it rains it pours :)
