960-Coolant in the transmission 900

Help! What is in store for the future?

A little history...

275,000 miles on the unit, has had a trans cooler in front of the radiator since 16,000 miles, trans fluid gets flushed about every 2 years (50k-60K).The trans has alway performed flawlessly.

Sunday the 30th of January, I replace the engine mounts, trans mount, serp belt tensioner, serp. idler and the O2 sensor. Monday, Tuesday car is running great can't believe I waited so long with the shutter on start up with the trans mount. Everything is great. Wednesday, while driving at hi way speed, the lock up on the torque convertor is a little on the rough side, make note to check fluid level that night. Fluid level is down about 1/2 quart, top it off. Trans fluid is still reddish but not bright red, but not foamy. By Friday I am more concerned, the shift is not getting better and decide to flush the trans, it is not due until the summer. Saturday morning I notice that the coolant level is low but not enough to light up the dash light. Open that up and where is the bright green fluid? It has a pinkish color to it. So I end up flushing the cooling system along with the trans. Then I bypassed the radiator, which is not even 3 years old, directly to the trans cooler. The shifting is still fine, the lock up still a little rough at one speed, not as rough before the flush. It really is only noticeable at 45 mph. All other speeds it is fairly normal, the kick downs are normal too. There did not seem to be much coolant in the fluid, in fact it was a little cold out when I did it. I thought there was smoke from the fluid while draining, it turned out to be water vapor reacting to the cold air. My opinion is the large fittings on the radiator loosened. Disconnecting the cooler lines kind of confirmed this, the large nuts were somewhat loose.
I am driving it this week and keeping an eye on coolant level. Not to mention the skimming of the trans fluid off the overflow tank every evening.

Questions...

Am I looking at other problems, would they appear soon or over time?
Would it be worth the expense to replace the lock up solenoid?
Does this transmission use any paper between the clutch packs as someone has recently told me some units do?
Is it alright to bypass the radiator's cooler, will I have problems in the summer without it being connected?

I plan on changing the fluids again next weekend.

Oh please wise ones, make me feel at ease. Thanks all!
