Loss of coolant sensor 900 1992

Hi!
I have a 1992 Volvo 960. The car is in pretty good shape - engine is very clean and the car was meticulously maintained by the previous owner. I love the car. It is driven by my son, who asked for a Volvo.

Anyway, the Loss of Coolant idiot light started coming on at the first sign of winter. It would come on each morning until the car would warm up a bit, then it would go off. The coolant system is not leaking and there's no problem with cooling - the car is running nice and cool, exactly where it did back in the heat of the fall here in KY.

The idiot light now stays on 24/7/365... and still the temp gauge is reading just fine, there are no coolant leaks, the system is completely full, etc. Where is this sensor, and how do I replace it? I'm guessing this is a dealer-only part?

Any info or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
