Okay, so before I bought a Volvo, I thought I knew what the GL vs DL ment. Correct me if I'm wrong, the GL was the fancier version of the 240 line, i.e. power everything. The DL was the roll your own window up model! So when I finally buy a Volvo, its a used 1990 "240" with a B230F motor. It came with sunroof, automatic tranny, power windows, I think power brakes, A/C, cruise control and seat warmers. Now I put parethesis around the 240 as there is no DL or GL to right of the 240 on my trunk opposite the Volvo name. Do I have a GL Dl or just plane 240. A friend said he thought that Volvo discontinued the 240 line the next year. Is that true? I really am sold on the car and have been doing my own maintence (changed the timing belt, tranny fluid and filter and new brake pads). However I have the check engine light on and will have to change he O2 sensor next! Otherwise the car runs well.
But I don't know the model.
