I've read the 700/900 faq, read some pointers from the archives, and just read ipd's pdf file on atf flushing. it sounds easy, but ipd warns about the possibility of permenantly damaging a soldered(?) part on the connection point where the upper cooler line and the radiator meet. is this a big concern? I'm afraid there might be a problem where it will be difficult to loosen the upper cooling line and out of frustration I may apply some gorrilla force! I really want to do my own flush as I keep reading that it is so easy that (I remember reading here someone said) you can do this while wearing a tuxedo or a white lab coat. it sounds easy enough, and I'm tired of blowing $100+ at the shop when I know (deep inside) I can do this on my own. I'm really interested in trying synthetic atf, as I hear that it works wonders. I'll save that for another post, as I have some detailed questions about switching from regular atf to synthetic atf. my question at present is how well does the ipd atf flush kit work? it's cheaper than I'd thought! is this as easy as an oil change? do I have the volvo god's blessings?

pffft, I just learned you plug the flush hose to the radiator receiving end instead of the upper cooler line.
