I've read with great interest the seafoam posts on Turbobricks as well as other forums..

I checked the MSDS on seafoam's site SEAFOAM MSDS pdf file

I noticed something that brought back the smell of .... mothballs?

Anywhere from 25% to35% of Seafoam is Naptha. I remember in the 70's where the Napthalene mothballs tossed into one's gas tank was all the rage. It boosted the octane was the claim ... well it may have

Good info in this article ... Gas to quote ..."There's no mystery here. Most octane boosters are nitrogen carriers. Common ingredients are methanol, isopropyl alcohol, naptha, xylene, toluene (tyline), benzine, hexane, nitro benzine and aniline. Available octane boosters do not have tetraethyl lead in them, as lead is very toxic" ...

So Seafoam dissolves deposits and makes car run smoother (octane boost)...
certainly with the removal of performance robbing carbon from the piston heads, valves and intake manifold.

Do I want to put it in my 250k + Grey Mare????? Well she ain't what she used to be (for many reasons ) ....
