1990 240 stalling 200 1990

Need some advice, my 240 just started stalling. It starts up fine and after about 4-5 minutes it flat out stalls , no jerking nothing it does the same when driving but starts right up. I get a fault code pin 2 of 232 which I assume is a bad oxygen sensor. Any help before I spend $190.00 would be appreciated. Also how are the "universal" O2 sensors, my parts store tried to sell me one ?
