Hi Guys!
Haven't been here for a while...My friend and I now have 4 242gts and are trying to get 2 of them to pass our aircare sytem here in BC. The first one is failing on the idle test... It is indicating excessive hydrocarbons at idle (running rich) however after re-timing and properly setting idle the car has great power now and passed with flying colors on the off idle load test. I have not cleaned the fuel system yet and I am thinking that there may be excessive carbon and guk on the throttleplate. Any suggestions?
The second one passed on the off idle test as well but had excessive CO at idle, we haven't even gapped the plugs on this one however. I am sure that a thorough tuneup would help remedy some of these issues but time and money are short so any suggestions would be welcomed!
Keep you're eyes out for my upocoming latest installment of the evolution of the 200hp n/a 2.1 GT.
Thanks in advance
Ray
