Fold down back seats in 740 wagon 700

This morning I went to fold down the back seats and the smaller seat went down fine but the larger one wont go. When you pull on the handle it feels like a spring or something must have come loose because there is no tension. How can I take the back part of the seat off and reattach the spring or whatever is wrong with it?
