PLEASE HELP!!!Considering an 86 Saab 900S 200

the car looks great! new paint in 2001, mechanicals sound to be good, 197000kms (not miles) , non-turbo 4 cly engine, very little to no rust, 2 door, 5 speed. The car has a bit of trouble gettign into reverse (possibly a bad tranny synchro?)

please help!
the sellr seems to be a great guy and has taken very good care of the car overall (acc to the repairs hes done to it so far)

P.S> I have no idea about Saabs, as I've only owned Volvo 240's and BMW e30's
