Looking at 960's and S90's S90-V90

Looking at making the jump to a 960 or a S90.
It looks like the cars are similar except for a few minor differences. I've read from the BB that 1996 960's are the best. Is that the consensus?
I noticed on the Edmund's site that the 960 has a ground clearance of only 4.1 inches. Do you guys see this as a major concern? (I guess only if you hit somthing, huh).
Also, what is your opinions on the best year for the 960, as well as the S90, or does it matter?
