As long as the driveshaft is coming apart to install new carrier bushings, this seemed as good a time as any to go for an M41 conversion. An early J-Type unit was available at Susquehanna Spares. A D-type was also there but I went for the J unit as I understand D-Type parts are getting hard to find.
Is a longer speedometer cable required for the conversion? Apparently there are also different size speedometer cable ends. Are there also different transmission cable ends?
