Daughter, several hundred miles away, called to report a howl between 20 and 30 mph, with pitch increasing directly with speed. Seems to be only in that gear (auto trans, city driving, so I'm thinking second or third? I suggested that she describe it to the indy mech and not be surprised if the recommendation was a trans flush, filter, and fill.
does anybody have a different suggestion or another possible diagnosis to look for? Thanks.
