I'm considering swapping out my auto tranny for a 5-speed manual in my 90' 240, but have heard that the rear-end gear ratio in cars that came with the auto tranny are different than the cars that came with a manual tranny. Is this true? If so, how would the manual tranny perform in a car meant to be automatic? Thanks for any help in advance.
