Which model (240 or 740) is best for a first teen car? 200 1992

I'm new to this forum and am interested in getting a '90s 240 or 740 for a first car for a teen soon to be driving. We're in the Northwest where you'll pay more for a used Volvo, and I found a nice local one but the price seems 'premium plus.' Here's the add link to it:

I've also been reading the forum and am not sure if I should be concerned about electrical problems with this model year. I like the 240 body style because of the good driver visibility. I've had a '97 850GLT for 20 months and love it - but the visibility is not as good.

Any opinions on the 240 vs 740 for a first teen car? How about reasonable premium pricing range in the NW for one in EXCELLENT condition? Should I be paranoid about electrical, A/C or other 'gotchas' with a next-to-last-year-produced model? I can do routine maintenance and am reasonably mechanically inclined but have very little experience trouble-shooting electrical problems.

Thanks in advance for any opinions!
