trunk airlifts for spoiler version 700

On certain 740 or 940 models there were air spoilers on the rear deck. Does anyone know if there are more heavy duty air lift tubes to keep the trunk lid up when you have the spoiler? My good ones just can't hold the lid. By the way, the spoiler came from an old Pontiac Firebird/TransAm is metal and looks great (it's wide like the 740 trunk lid). $35 at Pick Your Part. Any leads appreciated. The stock ones have that weird hook at the end...
