Found an odd place for a Vacuum Leak 200 1981

I cleaned the carbons and crud from my EGR Valve, nothing too harsh. I discovered the Plunger-type Shaft leaks a bit of air. I did not clean that, except to lubricate it. That part cannot be disassembled and cleaned. Odd. Any thoughts, except to remove the EGR Valve.
