2.3 turbo vs. 5.0 conversion 200

What would be better to do to my 242gt someday when I have the money?

Would a 2.3 turbo with a few mods to put out 300 hp be better, because it is cheaper and saves weight?

Or would a 5.0 conversion with about 400 hp be preferable because of the low end torque and more leisurely highway cruising?
