My girlfriend has a 1992 240 wagon. It's got this feature that you can only move it out of park when you have the brake down. She's had a problem recently that it won't move out of park, even when she puts her foot down on the brake. No matter how hard she pushes, it won't budge. I oped up the plastic cover of the shifter and found a way to unclip the lock when it gets stuck, but it's a pain. Any suggestions as to how to fix it? Is it a function of brake fluid or is it just a switch failure? Where is the switch?
