1993 240 Classic Sedan taking 6-10 cranks to start all of a sudden 200

Hello all from rainy Ontario, Canada, my 1993 Volvo 240 Classic all of a sudden started to take 6-10 cranks to start when it usually takes 1 or 2...any ideas? All help is appreciated..Thanx..240trbl
