Wiring an amp on a 92 240.

I got my hands on a sub and amp, and I decided today would be a good day to try and get it installed. after spending an hour trying to run the rca cables from the head unit to the trunk, finally i removed the glove box to make that work. I still need to run the power cable. Any ideas on where to drill my hole in the firewall for ease of installation? Also any ideas on how to run it under the carpet quickly will be greatly appreciated.
