The battery idiot light glows when the engine is at idle; not a real bright glow but definitely lite. It goes almost completely out when the engine is reved up. It's a new battery with clean connections. I'm thinking maybe the transistor or diode or whatever it's called on the back of the alternator is bad. I vaguely recall replacing it ten years ago for the same symptom. Any other ideas? jp
